I then imported this file into a 3DSM biped.

Remember that the file is case sensitive. I opened this file in Notepad and these are the changes I made to it:ġ- At the very top I changed “hip” (after ROOT) to “Hip”…capitalized the first letterĢ- Went down to the third bracket entry where it says “JOINT chest” and changed “chest” to “Chest”ĥ- Scrolled down to “JOINT rCollar” and made this ‘JOINT RightCollar”īelow this I continued changing all the JOINTs that 3DSM needs to recognize ĩ- Scrolled down to “JOINT lCollar” and changed this to “LeftCollar”ġ3- Then scroll down to “JOINT rButtock” and changed to “JOINT RightHip”ġ6- Scrolled down to “JOINT lButtock” and changed to “JOINT LeftHip”ġ8 changes in all by my count. I then exported this out as a bvh file and named it “Bowl”. Using DAZ 3D I imported the Aiko character and then imported Bowl_100.p2z animation set from Poser 5’s Poser 1-4 Poses. Also, do a search in this forum for bvh and several threads will come up that may be of further help to you. If it does then your character needs to be skinned with biped and the bvh file added to it for it to work in 3DSM. Play the timeline player and see if the biped moves to the file. Click “OK” with all the dialogs that come up and watch your biped. Under the motion panel go to the motion capture tab and click on the first icon to load a motion capture file making sure you first select bvh from the format drop down window and navigate to where your Poser bvh file is. With that said try creating a biped in 3DSM then go to the motion panel while the biped is selected. Many years ago I did create a Poser bvh file and imported it into 3DSM but since I haven’t messed with Poser in quite some time I don’t remember the sequence or even if the same procedure would work with the latest versions of either program. I see now that link leads you to a site with converted cmu files to bvh.
